We have decided to offer our many years of knowledge about our own backyard, where we ride horses, hike, raft, fish, ski, and watch wolves and grizzlies. For years people have asked our opinion of our favorite places to stay and we have always referred them to other companies. Not any more! As many of you know
Anne originally met Jim, her husband, while she was traveling through
Montana during rodeo week on her first trip to the States. Jim's grandparents
had previously been on safari with Anne's parents; thus the bridge between
Africa and Montana was first formed for the next generation to cross.
Anne decided to visit them in Montana to see what a western cattle ranch
was all about and quickly fell in love with the vast landscape, as it
was so similar to Africa. After marrying in Nairobi, they made the move
to Montana where they followed in Jim's father's footsteps and bought
and ran their own ranch. |
| Jim's
family had come out from New York and Lake Forest in the 1940's to make
a new life in the West, settling near the Crow Indian Reservation in southern
Montana. Jim grew up on the ranch and went to grade school in a one room
school house before heading east for further education. Jim is now a partner
in one of the largest ranch real estate and management companies in the
West (Hall and Hall). |
